The Newcastle Clinic provides easy access and very short appointment times for investigative MRI scans carried out through our brand new Open Sided MRI Scanner. The Signa Ovation is one of the leading Open MRI scanners available in the North East of England.

This MRI scanner offers all the traditional benefits of a closed scanner but in addition, because it is a completely Open Sided MRI Scanner it provides a much more comfortable and relaxing environment in which to be scanned. It is not enclosed in any way, so patients do not have to lie in a confined space and is particularly ideal for patients who are of large build, who may be claustrophobic, obese, frail or anxious.

To help keep the patient calm and to promote a stress free experience most patients are able to read, listen to music and have a companion sat with them whilst they are being scanned.

We welcome enquiries from private patients wishing to make use of our MRI Scanning facility; however every patient will need a referral from a clinician. As a patient you can request that your MRI scan can be carried out at the Newcastle Clinic.
