The Image Intensifier, known as the C -Arm because of its unique shape, is used during live procedures to enhance and pin point areas of the body on which the treatment is to be administered.
Here at the Newcastle Clinic we mainly use the Image Intensifier for pain relief injections. These include nerve root blocks and facet joint injections.
Image Intensification is a non-invasive procedure and is therefore used by patients as an alternative to surgery. It can be used when the patient is not suitable for or too high a risk for surgery. It can also be used by patients prior to surgery to provide pain relief.

Newcastle Clinic are regulated by The Care Quality Commision who are the independent regulators for health and social care in England.
