Patient Facility and Care at the Newcastle Clinic
The
Newcastle Clinic and its staff will show total consideration
to all of the patients and clients that visit our clinic
irrespective of age, gender and ethnic origin.
We understand that the individual needs of people can
differ, as can their back grounds, ethnic origins and
beliefs.
We are committed to treating
everyone fairly and without discrimination
If you think you will require specific considerations
it is advisable that you contact the clinic in advance.
This can include preferences to see a male or female consultant,
having the need to be chaperoned by someone of the same
sex or if you require more detailed information relevant
to your visit.
To ensure that your visit runs as smoothly as possible
and to prevent unnecessary delay please feel free to contact
us and indicate any area which you feel may need our special
attention. This will ensure we have the relevant staff
on duty and can allow us to take any necessary steps required
prior to your visit.
Chaperone Service
If you require the presence of a same sex observer during
any of your visits and examinations, please let us know
in advance so we can arrange the necessary staff cover.
No Smoking
We have a Public No Smoking building and require everyone
to adhere to this. As your visit may be one that creates
stress and can bring about the need to smoke, please do
so outside the building and simply indicate to our staff
where you will be so we can find you when needed.
Please turn off Mobile Telephone
To ensure that mobile phones do not in any way interfere
with any of equipment being used at any time we would
be grateful if you could turn off your mobile telephones
whilst inside the building.
Complimentary drinks are available in reception.
We are happy to provide free tea, coffee and water through
a vending machine located in our reception. In the interests
of safety we ask that drinks are taken to your seat and
consumed whilst seated. Please do not take drinks through
to the consultation or medical rooms. Please notify us
of any spillage.
In brief
- fair and equal treatment of everyone
- no smoking policy
- mobile telephones to remain off during your visit
